ACSM Bulletin
The ACSM Bulletin is a bi-monthly professional magazine published by ACSM to inform the public about current developments taking place within the geospatial community. The magazine covers topics ranging from land surveying to height modernization; from cartography to GIS and LIS; from the national cadastre to flood mapping and the standardization of geographic data; and from LIDAR, CORS, GPS, and satellites to exploring the universe. Current scientific debates related to collecting, analyzing, storing, and applying geospatial data in the public and private sector have a place in the magazine as do articles about the history of surveying and mapping in the U.S. and applications of geospatial technology in communities to protect and enhance the environment as well as other aspects of people’s lives. The wide range of topics covered in the ACSM Bulletin reflects the research interests of four professional member organizations of ACSM: the American Association for Geodetic Surveying (AAGS), the Cartography and Geographic Information Society (CaGIS), the Geographic and Land Information Society (GLIS), and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS).
