Winter 2011 Business Meeting, Lobby Day
The fall business meetings of AAGS and NSPS will be held at the Holiday Inn in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The hotel is conveniently located next door to the ACSM offices in Gaithersburg. Lobby Day will be held the day prior to the beginning of the business meetings.

Wednesday November 30
4:00-6:00 PM: Pre-Lobby Day meeting, Potomac Room, Holiday Inn, Gaithersburg

Thursday December 1
Lobby Day in Washington, D.C.
(departure time from the Holiday Inn to be determined at 11/30/11 pre-Lobby Day meeting)

Friday December 2
8:00 AM-6:00 PM:  NSPS Board of Governors,Ballroom, Holiday Inn 

Saturday December 3
8:00 AM-6:00 PM: AAGS Board of Directors, ACSM Headquarters office
8:00 AM-6:00 PM: NSPS Board of Directors, Potomac Room, Holiday Inn

In order to receive the correct rate, identify your group affiliation, “NSPS Winter Meeting”, at the time of the reservation. Room reservations must be made by Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Any reservations received after the cut-off date will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.”

Hotel room rates: $129/night – single/double/triple/quad.
Other discounts, coupons, special offers and/or brand programs, e.g. Kids Eat Free are not applicable with the group rate. The above rates are subject to the applicable state and local occupancy taxes, currently at 15%.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 pm. Early check-in is based on a “space available” basis and is not guaranteed. Individuals staying in their rooms beyond check-out time will be billed one (1) additional night’s stay unless late check-out arrangements have been made. Late check-out is provided based on availability although some charges may apply. Arrangements can be made by contacting the front desk. Luggage storage is available either for early arrival or late departure.

TRANSPORTATION 
Gaithersburg is served by Reagan National Airport (Arlington, VA); Dulles International Airport (Herndon, VA); Thurgood Marshall/BWI Airport (Linthicum, MD). Each airport is approximately equidistant from the hotel. Ground transportation is available via taxi (quite expensive); Blue Shuttle (not as expensive, but more stops along the way); rail service from National and BWI to the Shady Grove Metro station on the Red Line which is approximately 4 miles from the hotel (taxi service is available from this station).

The hotel does have a shuttle to and from the Shady Grove Metro Station. Passengers traveling from the Shady Grove station would need to call the hotel for pick up.
