ACSM serves as Lead Society for the evaluation of programs categorized by ABET, Inc. as Surveying and Geomatics, Surveying and Geomatics Engineering, and Surveying and Geomatics Engineering Technology. Through its Curriculum, Accreditation, Registration and Education Committee (CARE), ACSM establishes program criteria and maintains a team of academic and industry professionals who serve as evaluators of programs under the Engineering (EAC), Applied Science (ASAC), and Technology (TAC) criteria established by ABET.
